Professionally trained Actor, Presenter and Polo Player, Karl has had the performing bug running through his blood from the moment he was born. He started his riding career almost before he could walk. Coming from an equestrian background meant that he competed at an early age on the show-jumping circuit before moving up to bigger horses and developing a taste for eventing and team chasing. It was at school and university that he found a taste for polo – a sport that he plays professionally as well as being an international commentator and host for prestigious tournaments and polo events worldwide.

Professionally trained at East 15 Acting School, London, Karl has performed both nationally and internationally in theatre, for the Royal Shakespeare Company, on TV and in feature films.

With his acting experience and strong persona he simply buzzes on screen. His passion, enthusiasm and have-a-go personality has earned him international renown within the acting and presenting world.

Karl works as a freelance presenter for renowned channels, Sky Sports & Eurosport, Discovery & Animal Planet often interviewing top sports personalities and celebrities, including the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Tommy Lee Jones and Bill Nighy. As a commentator for many international matches and a regular on the polo circuit he knows many people involved with the sport which often allows him a certain ‘insight’ not always available to all!

He also has a passion for history and has presented many documentaries for channels such as the History Channel with the award winning series “Ancient Einstein’s” & “Ancient Impossible”, plus historical documentary series “Instruments of Death”for Yesterday Channel.  

He was thrilled to have had the chance to present two series of ‘Horsetails’ for Discovery/Animal Planet. The series allowed Karl to travel the world investigating unusual events and stories connected with horses. The series followed such subjects as the ‘Gaucho’s in Argentina, To Spain and France following a unique horse race called the ‘Fish Race’

Karl worked as a main presenter for “Horse & Country TV” covering events such as The Royal Show, Badminton Horse Trails, the London International Horse Show Olympia and The British Open Show Jumping Championships at the NEC, Birmingham.

Karl has worked as a co-presenter for Live Fashion Shows with co-hosts such as Ruby Wax and Geoff Banks, hosting Wolford and Armani London Fashion events. He was lucky to be asked to host a press launch with the worlds media for world-renowned Asha Bhosle, the legendary Indian artiste who selected Birmingham as the home for her first UK based Indian restaurant and bar, Asha’s.

He has worked for ITV and BT Sport as a freelance presenter for rugby events for Harlequins and the “Heineken Cup” at Twickenham. He was involved in promoting the BT’s vast involvement as one of the main sponsors behind Olympic coaching for the young in preparation for the London Olympics 2012. He presented their promotional BT Coaching Olympic Education Corporate Film for multimedia and DVD; being filmed all around iconic landmarks in London and the Olympic site.

As well as a very skilled horseman Karl is also an all round sportsman. He is a good skier and is a great fan of all extreme sports, keen to learn new sports to any level.

He is a director and show producer for his own live entertainment company that runs a professional jousting stunt display team he founded called ‘The Knights of Middle England’ for the last 16 years they have toured the UK and Europe performing their action packed stunt shows and supplying horses and riders for the TV & Film industry.

Karl’s exploits and constant travelling over the years has allowed him to use his language skills. He speaks French, Italian and, with his frequent trips to Argentina, some Spanish. He has bags of charisma and charm and will always strive to meet any new challenges. He is up for any challenges that presenting might offer him and is always willing to turn his hand to whatever the subject is!
